Watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Episode 8

   

 Summary:

The Kyoto principal visits the Tokyo campus to discuss an upcoming goodwill event. Megumi and Nobara are suddenly confronted by rivals from their sister school. Gojo decided to challenge the headmaster of Gakuganji and jujutsu conservatives themselves. Meanwhile, Yuji begins a new investigation.

Plot:

Somewhere in Tokyo's Tokyo Jujutsu Hill, Megumi and Nobara are running errands for Maki. Panda is worried about meeting the Kyoto headmaster. Maki doesn't believe the headmaster will pull something in the middle of the day, but that's not quite what Panda is worried about. It's likely that the students came up with him because they like to talk trash.

Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin arrive to confront Megumi and Nobara. They come with the principal and Mai claims they are checking them out because their classmate died. Mai taunts them by mocking their dead friend, annoying both first years. Aoi is completely uninterested and claims that he only came to confirm that replacing Yuta Okkotsu will be fun.

Aoi asks what kind of girls he likes, and depending on the answer, she claims to beat him half to death. He states that his type of woman is tall with a big ass. Megumi doesn't want to discuss his taste in women with a man he just met, and Nobara adds that it's too difficult for an antisocial like him. Aoi believes that a person's taste in women says it all. If they have boring tastes, then they are boring people, and Aoi doesn't like boring people.

The Goodwill Event is something Aoi looks forward to and can't accept that it could be boring. He demands an answer, and Megumi tells him that an unshakable character is all she requires in a potential mate. He wants to avoid confrontation, but Aoi is unhappy with this answer. He tells Megumi that he is boring and immediately attacks him.

Nobara wants to help, but Mai hugs her from behind. Claiming that Megumi doesn't stand a chance, Nobara notes that Mai is much less attractive than her sister, which upsets the Kyoto student. Outside, Aoi hits Megumi and says that the boy trampled on all his kindness. Megumi knows Aoi's name as the Sorcerer who single-handedly exorcises all the cursed spirits in Shinjuku up to the Kyoto Night Line of 100 Demons. Megumi heard that he didn't even use his innate technique to defeat five first grade curses and one special grade curse. Aoi refutes the rumor and reveals that he used his innate technique against a special class, shocking the first year.

Megumi combines Nue with Toad to create winged toads from his Bottomless Well technique. This doesn't stop Aoi from continuing to brutalize Megumi with sheer force. They manage to slow him down, but Megumi ends up having to save Panda and Toge. Before leaving, Aoi tells Yuto's former classmates to give him a message.

Meanwhile, Nobara ends up on the ground after being shot by Mai. The Kyoto student tells her Tokyo rival to pick her matches better. Maki arrives to help and the two sisters argue over who is more useless. Nobara suddenly gets up and argues with Mai, using Maki as a distraction. Nobara demands that Mai hand in her summer uniform, but Aoi arrives to get Mai so they can leave. Aoi needs to go to meet his favorite pop idol, Takada-chan. As they leave, Mai leaves Nobara with a goodbye message that bothers her.

Nobara and Maki leave and talk about how Maki is unable to use cursed energy and therefore uses cursed tools. Nobara asks Maki why she wants to be a Witch, and the second year reveals that she wants to despite her wizarding family who have spent her whole life putting her down. Elsewhere, Satoru Gojo arrives to meet with the Gakuganji director. Gojo was able to get Ijichi to give Yago a fake plan to make this meeting happen.

Gojo believes that Gakuganji is the head of the jujutsu conservatives who killed Yuji. As such, he has little respect for the Headmaster, prompting a student present, Kasumi Miwa, to urge Gojo to be careful with his behavior despite being a fan of his. Gojo reveals that unregistered curses of a special degree and students with high potential surpass the status and traditions of the old world of jujutsu. He believes that the coming age will overcome the special classification and everyone will fight to erase the old society. Gakuganji is irritated with Gojo and decides to leave after saying that Yaga won't arrive for another two hours. Gakuganji asks Miwa for tea, but she runs off to take a picture with Gojo. At the same time, Aoi can meet and greet her favorite idol at the meeting.

A month later, three heavily mutated corpses are found in the Kinema Cinema. Mahito leaves the scene but is noticed by a young man who sees him. Yuji Itadori and another wizard are tasked with investigating this mysterious incident.

Post-credits scene

Miwa successfully manages to take a selfie with Gojo and thanks him for it before happily returning to Gakuganji. Unfortunately for her, the Kyoto headmaster reminds the girl that she forgot to buy him tea.

Juju Stroll

Mai stands next to a line of Takada-chan's fans, much to her disgust. Once Todo returns to her, he insists that his classmate use the other ticket he has to shake hands with the idol. Mai, not wanting to argue, agrees. Once her revolver is confiscated, Mai finally runs into Takada-chan. Idol himself is surprised to see the girl in line telling Mai that he will remember her. When Mai returns to Todo, she is uncharacteristically quiet, muttering to herself that Takada-chan wasn't so bad.
