 Summary:

A special class cursed spirit Hanami has invaded the Goodwill event! Can the students survive the onslaught and escape the curtain with their lives?

Plot:

Megumi, Toge, and Noritoshi pass through one of the buildings with Hanami's roots in hot pursuit. Toge practiced his technique and kept Hanami at bay as they tried to create distance. Megumi checks on him as he drinks cough syrup to help soothe his throat. Hanami approaches and tries to impale the three boys with wooden ball spears. Toge orders Hanami to stop and stop his attack. Noritoshi follows Blood Manipulation: Convergence - Piercing Blood.

This time, Noritoshi is able to injure Hanami by hitting him in the face with a branch. The trio of students begin to run again as Noritoshi goes over the game plan in his head. They use Toge to stop Hanami and then Noritoshi and Megumi attack before creating distance. Their goal is to retreat behind the curtain or at least somewhere where they can get help from their classmates.

Hanami chases the boy outside and Megumi sends Nue to attack, believing Toge will stop the curse. However, Toge's throat recoils from the backlash from his cursed speech due to the difference in power between him and Hanami. Without Toge's support, Noritoshi is knocked to the ground. Megumi grabs him before Hanami's wooden balls impale the third year unconscious. Before Megumi decides to make a move, his senpai steps out to face Hanami alone. Just before they get within Hanami's range, Toge uses the last of his strength to force Hanami to fire.

Curse of special degree resists the attack, but is sent to the ground. Maki appears behind him with Kasumi's katana, but Hanami claims that such a blade cannot cut him and blocks it with her forearm. The katana snaps, but Hanami is open to Megumi's attack. He uses his cursed tool with a black blade and cuts off one of the branches of the curses face. This confirms Hanami's weak point, but she is able to regenerate instantly and praises the power of Megumi's sword. Maki claims he has an even better one, and Megumi pulls a three-pronged staff from his shadow. He gives it to Maki and arms her with a special cursed tool: The Playful Cloud!

With a single swing, Maki sends Hanami flying across the battlefield away from the building. Megumi runs through the forest and summons Divine Dog Totality. She injures Hanami's arm with tremendous speed and Maki comes from behind to attack. Hanami blocks but realizes Maki is using Megumi's sword. The boy suddenly appears and hits Hanami from behind, then the two students switch weapons again and cut off Hanami's eye branches. Their attack appears to be successful, but a cursed bud sprouts from Megumi's bowels. He loves cursed energy and prevents Megumi from using jujutsu. Maki is concerned and leaves her open to have her arm impaled by a wooden spear.

Hanami states that jujutsu wizards are always open when an ally is injured. Divine Dog is distracted and Maki is quickly subdued shortly after. Megumi pushes himself to do something, but Maki assures him that it's time for them to sign off. Right on cue, Yuji and Aoi Todo plummet from the sky to save Maki. Meanwhile, Momo Nishimiya moves Toge and Noritoshi to safety on her levitating broom. She believes that if there's one thing about Tod, he's strong. Megumi urges them not to fight, but Yuji assures him that it's okay and Panda leads him and Maki away.

Aoi Todo says she won't help until Yuji unleashes Black Flash. Hanami notices that Yuji is Sukun's vessel and wonders about Todo's power. Aoi has less cursed energy than Hanami, but there is something ominous about his attitude. Yuji starts by asking Hanami if he knows the curse and face attacks. After a brief exchange, he gets the opening he's looking for, but thinks of the injured Megumi and Junpei before striking. Yuji is unable to use Black Flash, so Aoi slaps him and tells him not to rely on anger too much. She helps Yuji refocus and calm down, who acknowledges him as a best friend.

A black flash is a warp in space created when cursed energy is applied to a physical hit within a trillionth of a second. It provides two and a half times the power of a normal hit and is a technique that no wizard can use at will. The difference between those who used black lightning and those who didn't is like heaven and earth. Yuji drools in concentration and before the drool even hits the ground, Yuji hits Hanami in a flash and successfully unleashes Black Flash!

Aoi proudly watches from the sidelines and states that Yuji has grown up. Yuji is surprised by the volume of his own cursed energy, and Aoi explains that he finally understood cursed energy as a component. Up until this point, he had been throwing it haphazardly into the pot, not knowing what to expect. In Aoi's analogy, Yuji is twice the chef he once was. Hanami recognizes Yuji's strength and heals his arm, ready for another clash. Together, Aoi and Yuji take their stance as best friends and declare that it's time to start cooking. Hanami reveals his left arm and declares it's time for him to get serious as well.

Hanami summons giant roots that attack Yuji and Aoi, surprising the former with the incredible range of the attack. She sacrifices speed and strength for range, allowing the pair to get close to Hanami and hit him instantly. He tries to follow up, but the roots manifested from the cursed energy suddenly disappear. Unsupported, both wizards fall. However, they kick each other's legs away to avoid another Hanami attack. Hanami, stunned, recalls her conversation with Mahito. He encouraged Hanami to put on his instincts like a curse so he could enjoy himself.

The battle rages again on the ground as Yuji and Hanami continue to trade blows at close range. Aoi follows to help them, and as they fight, Hanami admits that she enjoys the thrill of the fight. With the battle escalating, Aoi decides it's time to unleash his cursed technique.
