Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 192

   

 Summary:

Naoya Zenin was not killed by jujutsu, allowing him to be reborn as a vengeful curse that is as grotesque as it is powerful. Maki and Kamo work together to take down their insane enemy, but their efforts only force his evolution.

Plot:

Before the Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event, when Yoshinobu Gakuganji was scheming with Noritoshi to kill Yuji, the headmaster asked Noritoshi what he had to remember when killing an enemy wizard. Noritoshi replied that the enemy must be killed by jujutsu to prevent them from being cursed upon death.

In the present, Maki is imprisoned by Naoya, who has returned as a vengeful cursed spirit. She believes he was turned into a curse because she killed him with her fists and not cursed energy. However, Naoya reveals that Maki's mother was the one who took his life, surprising Maki. He adds that he came to Sakurajima to kill her and mocks her for fighting half-heartedly. Noritoshi's arrows suddenly rain down on Noaya, pushing him away from Maki. Naoya says she hates Blood Manipulation and Maki asks if her ally used his intuition to aim. Unlike Maki, Naoya's location is easily detectable, allowing Noritoshi to shoot him with arrows from a distant location.

Naoya sees another round of arrows being fired into the trees in the distance and says they are too slow. Maki catches Naoya off guard and casts a curse on the arrows. The blood on the arrows stuns Naoya so Maki can slash him across his body. As Naoya bleeds profusely, Noritoshi wonders if Maki finished him off. Naoya confirms that cursed spirits can feel pain and says that he regrets hurting so much. He immediately reveals that he didn't mean a word by that statement as his body implodes and begins to transform.

Maki and Noritoshi realize that Naoya is a cursed womb and has taken the form of a cocoon in an attempt to evolve. Maki tells Noritoshi to shoot the cursed womb as it is floating too high for her to reach. Noritoshi pulls out a pack of blood and uses convergence on the blood before firing Piercing Blood right through the cursed womb.

Noritoshi takes a direct hit and Naoya appears to scream in pain as his cocoon begins to disappear. Noritoshi thinks with relief how hard it would be to deal with Naoya if he was faster. However, the smoke and dust dissipates, revealing that Naoya's final form survived the attack. Naoya is now much smaller with a more humanoid shape and skull-like face. Maki senses Naoya's murderous intent and warns Noritoshi, but the developed curse moves too fast for Noritoshi. Naoya sends Noritoshi flying with a lightning fast punch, destroying several trees along the way. Naoya claims that Noritoshi was trash and didn't even know where he was.
